Money equality.

What are your thoughts on equal prize money this year? I feel that if the women want equal pay then they should contribute the same as the men. It has been stated that the amount of time they spend training and practicing is the same as the men (I don't argue with that) but the fact remains that they play less than the men and still want equal pay - that is unfair and wouldn't be thought of as correct in business so why should this be different just because it is tennis? I maintain that if they want equal prize money then they should play the same number of games as the men do.

The amount of games they play is not the only issue here. The mens game generates more public interest and attracts more sponsorship etc and consequently raises more money for the game of tennis.

totally agree, if they want the same prize money, they should play five sets. Apart from the fact that womens tennis is sooooooooooo boring!!

well neo each to their own, but there is a larger majority of people who prefers mens tennis to womens. Most teenage boy county players could beat any of the women out there, so why pay £80 to go and watch them at Wimbledon.

please no to 5 sets for women! we'd need ear defenders!
So far this Wimbledon there has only been 1 good match - Jankovic v Safarova - the rest of the women's matches have been (as usual) boring and one-sided. the only matches that are not one-sided are those that neither player seems to want to win. Hundreds of unforced errors.
