i am a regular gym person. After a moderate hour long game of tennis my elbow and knee are killing me! How do i deal with this and avoid this in the future?

you havnt said your age - but you use different muscles in tennis to those in the gym - you could ask one of the instuctors at the gym to give you some strengthening exercises specific to tennis - and could try elbow and knee supports. Warming up correctly before you play is also very important.
