Does anyone feel the same as I do about the Ronaldo saga at Man Utd.
I personally wish they would sell the wingeing brat and sign no more of his type again. We in Britain used to complain when we played "the cheating foreigners" in European and International matches. Now that these players have infiltrated our game we have more cheating, diving spitting etc etc, which is now being seen at grass roots level i.e kids games. I wish the day would come when there was ban on foreign imports and these mercenaries would ply there trade elsewhere.

I do not agree with you. I think the Premiership is the best league in the world, precisely because it attracts the best players. There has always been cheating player, in fact every team used to need 'a hard man' (Read: Cheat).
As for Ronaldo, I would miss his phenomenal ability to score goals. 42 last year (23 year before) and he isn't an out and out striker.

I keep hearing how the premiership is the best league in the world as it attracts the best players. It depends what one means as "Best". Perhaps you mean Best paid. This cannot mean the Best in the champions league and/UEFA cup as our track record is fairly abysmal. Another downside to attracting to many foreign imports obviously has a detrimental effect on our international rercord as the heirarchy at the FA are now voicing there concerns re the same.

English teams are not abysmal. If you look at the top 10 rankings of european clubs, 4 are english, more than any other country.
The foreign player pose more of a threat to the England team. Though there is a argument that says if the English players are playing week in week out with the best in the world, then they will improve>
