anyone see her goal fro brazil today?
have to say i cant remember a better goal .

do you think that women get enough recognition for their soccer skills?
is it a sexual thing?
male chauvanism or is it just ignorance of changes in society today and the changing roles of women the world over?

Hi leg_end758
I've often thought about this myself but have never been able to put my finger on it!
I am a huge footie fan and although I am female myself I just can't seem to get into female football, I just don't enjoy it!
It'll be interesting to see what other people think tho!

I watched most of the matches in Euro 2005 and can confirm that the standards in the womens game have dramatically improved since mid-1990's.

I used to find some of the stuff that passed for womens football in those days a little embarassing. Since other countries started their semi/professional leagues and our players have been able to play abroad the England team has improved beyond measure.

But womens football is still very much over-shadowed and dependent upon the mans game (see Charltons ladies). It would be nice to see it move into the daylight by having the league games shown on terrestrial TV...........
Michael Grade, are you listening ?

watch the world cup final on sunday then germany brazil 1pm

yesterdays result was no small feat.

usa are dominant womens international team.
last 50 games won 42 i think it is and only beaten once on penalties.

great result tho there were a few dubious decisions too.

oh andf the usa first choice keeper is hotter than wewalking on the sun ; -)

I havnt seen any of the games but i often wonder what standard say Englands women would be if they played against men? do you think they would beat teams out of the conferencefor instance ? or a higher or lower league?

I think you have to accept the womens game on its own merits - comparison to the mens game would be unfair.
