Man City knocked out of Capital One Cup at first hurdle By Mark Fordham

Manchester City have been knocked out of the Capital One Cup at the first time of asking after going down 4-2 after extra time to Aston Villa.

City twice took the lead at the Etihad Stadium through Mario Balotelli and Aleksandar Kolarov, while Gareth Barry turned into his own net and Gabriel Agbonlahor levelled things up before full time.

Then goals from Agbonlahor and Charles N'Zogbia in the 30 minutes of extra time were enough to seal victory and a place in the last 16 of the tournament and at the same time give Villa their first away win since January.

Roberto Mancini appeared to have an argument with Villa counterpart Paul Lambert on the touchline and said afterwards he was "very tired" of the actions of some opposing bosses.

"I am very tired with their behaviour. Sometimes these managers go to the big stadiums and the other manager says everything and they say nothing," he complained after the match.ADNFCR-8000010-ID-801456996-ADNFCR
