Amir Khan has revealed talks have begun about a fight against Ricky Hatton. The 22-year-old is set to take on WBA light-welterweight champion Andreas Kotelnik at the MEN Arena in Manchester on July 18th. If Khan comes through the contest, he could face Manchester favourite Hatton later this year. Hatton has yet to make a decision on his future after slumping to the second defeat of his career against Manny Pacquiao in May. Khan claims the 30-year-old's promoters have been in contact about a Battle of Britain showdown. "A lot of people are building it up and, after Ricky's defeat, Ricky wants to come back and get a big win so we're just going to leave it with the promoters," Khan told Sky Sports. "It's a fight that could happen and what a massive fight it would be in Britain. "I'm just going to leave it with the promoters. At the moment I'm going my way and he's going his, but if the fight happens I think it'll be brilliant." Hatton is expected to have a farewell fight in Britain before hanging up his gloves.
