Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has been ruled out of Tuesday's Champions League last-16 tie with FC Porto due to a recurrence of his hamstring injury. The injury forced the 22-year-old off five minutes after he opened the scoring against Burnley at the Emirates on Saturday in a match the Gunners went on to win 3-1. Arsene Wenger had previously said he was prepared to risk playing the Spaniard in Tuesday's game with his side trailing 2-1 from the first leg. But he later said: "Cesc is ruled out for tomorrow's game. He has a hamstring problem and we could not even take a gamble with him. "I was hoping [he would recover] after the game because we were cautious with him. He was not adamant about coming out of the team but still he has damaged his hamstring and we cannot take a gamble on him." Abou Diaby is likely to replace Fabregas for Arsenal, who will also have Manuel Almunia back in goal, but William Gallas is definitely out. Almunia's replacement in goal in the first leg at the Estadio do Dragao stadium Lukasz Fabianski was at fault for the Portuguese side's first goal and later picked up a back pass from Sol Campbell to allow them to score again. Campbell and Alex Song will also be back for the Gunners on Tuesday having missed the Burnley game through injury and suspension.
