Aaron Ramsey to 'lose Wales captaincy'

Aaron Ramsey to 'lose Wales captaincy' By Mark Fordham

Aaron Ramsey is set to lose the Wales captaincy ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Scotland and Croatia, according to reports.

The manager Chris Coleman is expected to confirm the move later today (October 5th) when he names his squad.

Ramsey had been named as skipper under Gary Speed, but since Coleman has taken over, Wales have lost the last five matches.

It is thought that Swansea defender will be seen as the favourite to replace Ramsey as he is one of the more senior members of the squad.

Meanwhile, Wales are still unaware whether James Collins will be available for the qualifiers after being sent off against Serbia.

A decision on the length of punishment will be made by Fifa's disciplinary committee later today.

Coleman will name his squad this morning without being aware whether the West Ham central defender will be available for selection, as the ban could be extended by two or three matches.ADNFCR-8000010-ID-801463858-ADNFCR
