ED, is there an ignore facility?
I have just used it on another forum, I think it's a great idea, could this be implemented on here please?

tbph I don't understand the point in it. From what I have seen posted before about this option it would seem that people who invoke it tend to backslide to see what they have ignored either from their own curiosity or because they have been alerted to something by another.
I believe it would take a certain character and commitment to carry out a 100% ignore attitude and I am not sure that everyone has this in their makeup.
Anyway, what is the point of joining a forum if you can't see all relevant posts in response to your own? Surely the report facility is sufficient if something is really upsetting or offensive?

Similar to rubberneckers or those who immediately swivel 180° when you tell them 'Don't turn round now but ...' ?
Probably
LOL

Too funny ;)
Its so obvious that certain people only use SAB as a platform to make snide/tedious repetetative remarks as they would be banned from Transformerbank if they did it there.
Maybe the Ed will now see where i'm coming from with this OP.
Lets hope as he/she has already seen what goes on behind the scenes re this site.....oops

R&R, who did you use the 'ignore' button on? Go on, tell us.

just popped in to say I am pleased I give the Mob the chance to express their opinion.... off out again

What MOB?
This is a question and answer site, not your personal space. Just because people don't agree with you doesn't make them a MOB.
If you struggle with people disagreeing with you it might be a wise idea to stick to chat rooms or facebook and converse with like minded people. You are clearly not up for any type of debate
Or not capable, either or!!
actually this was for the ED, sorry

Well, good to see that is sorted then.
Not quite a rhetorical question more of a platform?
It hadn't occured to me, JarvisJ, but I can see substance in your post now.
At least there were some general points covered by others in response to this 'suggestion'. I would have thought Ed would be happy enough for that to happen. It shows that others are mindful of the site, situation and offer their own thoughts.

I suppose if there is to be no ignore facility, what I understand to be the time-honoured system of fingers-in-ears and singing ♫ lalalalalala can't hear you♫ would suffice?
Cannot say I have ever been tempted by that one.
