Rugby

Knocked out in rugby

My son (18) was knocked out today for 10-15 seconds during a match and has been told not to play for 3 weeks - is this the rule in Rugby.? He had an U20 county match tomorrow so not best pleased!

There's a point when common sense and medicine over-rule sport and ambition. This is one of them. The risk of long term damage over tomorrow's glory? Not worth it - and rugby knows it.

Has he been seen by a doctor ? or just advised by club officials - I'd get doctors advice if I were you, you can't be too careful.

It's RFU policy, not a rule as such but very advisable.
