Ray Gravelle - R.I P.

May I take this oppurtunity to express my sadness at the sudden death of Ray Gravelle on holiday in Spain. This true gentleman had only recently overcome the loss of a leg due to diabetes and is a great loss to everyone who loved Wales and rugby in general. My condolences to his family at this sad time.

Wow - that's a shock. I had the discomfort of being at college with zillions of Welshmen during the mid/late 70's and I remember Ray Gravelle smashing great holes in the English backline with a very powerful running style. He seemed to epitomise what is was to be Welsh. A sad loss indeed.
