Has anyone heard of a Victor Perry playing for England? Victor was born in the North East of England in 1907 and possibly went to Oxford University.

I have a 1992/3 Rothmans Rugby Union Yearbook here. There was an S V Perry who played seven matches for England while at Cambridge University and Waterlooville. But his first game wasn't until 1947. That makes it rather unlikely.

There's only one other Perry in this edition, and he has the initials DG, played for Bedford and didn't start his England career until 1963.

I suppose the first one's a possibility if perhaps you don't have the correct birth year.

The other thing is, as he's from the north, would he have played Rugby League, perhaps?
Good luck with your search

Thanks SeaJayPea. I found S V Perry's biography on the internet and it would seem that he is the son of the S Perry born in 1907. My enquiry was more genealogical than purely sporting. With your help I have found an England rugby player in my family tree. Cheers!
