british f1 drivers

how come in all commentary it seems that there is only one brtiish driver does no-one else get annoyed over this, ok the other ones are getting on years but am i the only person this annoys . i am a DC fan as he comes fae dumfries & galoway and would have done better in his career if he didnt have to work under Ron Dennis who clearly favours one driver over another

Probably because Hamilton is a genuine challenger the focus is on him.
A couple of years ago the focus was on Button and before that D.C.
If they ignored Hamilton it would seen as odd.
When Wimbledon starts the only player from these shores you will hear about will be Andy Murray,its just the way it is.
P.S. Why is it "Britains" Lewis Hamilton and "Scotlands" David Coulthard?

agree with wba, DC had his chance when he was a williams driver in the 90s, you also have to remember they will follow the drivers who are competing for the championship primarily, if you tuned in to coverage from any other country you will see that their own coverage favours their own drivers/teams, we are no different.

It's always been the case. When DC started winning races for Mclaren he was a british driver but whenever he cocked it up he was a scottish driver. It's all down to the english press. These are the same journalists (not just for motorsport) who write that england only have to turn up to a major tournament (especially football) and they will be champions. Let's be fair how can a journo write anything that say's Coulthard, Hill, Hamilton, etc etc are poor when the average person wouldn't have a clue how to drive an F1 car ?. It's not a simple case of sitting down and turning the steering wheel is it?:
