cotton ''fleece'' (for afterwards)
swimsuit (for the sauna and steam room)
Nike water bottle with carry belt
ankle straps
membership card
money
padlock (for the lockers)
my exercise list
small sweat towel (I get a shower towel at the gym)
can of MagiCool
hairband
scrunchie
Alice band
pair of sunnies
shower gel
shampoo
hairbrush
toothbrush
toothpaste
mouthwash
deodorant (bol or aerosol? neither, it's for my armpits)
moisturiser
last week's Guardian (okay, just taken that out and thrown away)
Bottle of Powerade
2 Weider protein bars
ballpoint pen
And it sits there, by the door, saying ...
... "please, take me out to play!''

squashball ... it's just a small Nike holdall bag.
I couldn't manage without any of those things.
fastball ... it is ... just a plastic Bic ... but a ballpoint. You know ... 30p at the newsagents.
So what do you keep in your bags?

Let me have a quick look as not emptied from last night; shorts, tank top, towel, shampoo, shower gel, sweatbands & an empty tub of vaseline (chapped lips)..ah & not forgetting my fountain pen..

fastball ... you travel light !
squashball ... ankle straps for cable kickbacks (as part of butt workout routine) ... I don't like the straps at the gym.

JJ - I like to be light on my feet - in & out if you know what I mean. Can't be spending too long in the gym as too many blokes on roids - get a bit of a complex coz am not all that big (muscley) like they are. Need to work on that aspect a little more - "push it out" is a common phrase in my gym.

If I'm doing resistance work, I go until I scream and drop.
It's a great release (so to speak).

Not so much a screamer JJ, but more gruntish sound "urrrgggh & aaahhs" as I push out on the bench press.

Oh and my gym bag is a QE2 /Concorde flight bag that my mother had in the 70's.

Oh, no ... I just noticed ... you have to wear a swim hat? They are so gross, aren't they!

Swim hats are not so bad as they are nylon softies and both sexes have to wear them.
Yes my bag is really lovely and so much better to use it rather leave it in a cupboard mouldering away. My late Ma was an intrepid traveller.

i have a concord sewing kit... that would probably go nicely with your concord bag...

Mine is just a plain Nike bag, but ...
I bought it because the pocket on one is a mesh pocket, which is where I keep all the wash and shower bits.
But it's not stylish and glamorous like yours. Yours sounds VERY jolly.
