Gym

Reps

I have heard when doing reps for dumbells: 12 then 10 then 8 is a good combo. Is this correct, my friend is quite a gym fanatic?

Depends what you are aiming for ...

strength ?

physical growth ?

increased endurance ?

You can adapt your sets/reps/weight combination, depending on what you want to achieve from your workout.

to build and keep musells then warm up then start high say with a 12, then 10, then 8, do 10 of each but don't rest inbetween them.

If they are too heavy start with a light set!! good
