The Ryder Cup - Scrap it?

I think the Ryder Cup should be abolished. It's become a highly commercialised needle match fuelled by the money-grabbing media and, to a certain degree, the participants. Sam Ryder never intended this aspect of the competiton. It was supposed to be a friendly competition, intended to further golfing relations with the USA. The way the crowds and some of the participants behave is a disgrace. Abolish it I say.

If it is not there anymore then nobody can "lose".
