Sambro, I would guess that you've got the golfing bug. You need to play with serious players, members who will help you along. Where do you play? What do you mean by one step forward, two steps back?

Hiya Sambro. I've played those courses. I live near there. Well, not too far away. If you are new to the game, don't expect too much of yourself. Do what you know you can do. Don't be too ambitious with your shots by trying to reach the green when you know you have no chance. If you think your game out in this way, you will improve your scores, which aren't that bad for a beginner. I see worse scores from our members every week. There's an old golf saying: Go with what you know. It's very true. Stay with it. Think before you play each shot. Take your time and your scores will start to reduce. And remember, even top pros make mistakes. The diference is, they make a lot less than us!

And what do you mean. you're not a member anywhere cos you're a poor working class lad. Membership of our club is only £45 per year. We are fully affiliated to the Lancashire and English Golf Unions. It's difficult to say which club without giving away my I.D., which I don't want to do on here. However you can email me on clarionst@yahoo.com

This is quite normal mate, I've played 20 years and just came back from a great week in Scotland in lovely weather and then shot 20 shots over my average on my home course when I thought I would tear it up, probably about the same as I would've scored a week after I started playing. It's the only game where this happens.
The trouble is with golf, you've never "got" anything, it's only on loan, be it putting, driving or wedge play, but at the same time it will give you just enough to keep you hooked, and at least once a round you will execute a shot that Tiger couldn't have improved on, it's the only game where this happens too.

10ClarionSt thought it sounded too good to be true. Are you having me on? Your email address apparently does not exist.
