It is some achievement by Rangers to win it 51 times bearing in mind that it did't start untill 1974 or thereabouts.
Any body else know the answer.?

If we are being pedantic about it the Scottish Premier League didn't start until 1998. The previous system was the Scottish Premier Division which was part of the Scottish Football League.

The literal answer to the question posed is, as the link provided by Brian J John shows, Celtic with 6 titles to Rangers 4.

If you read your rather curt response to my genuine answer then you may agree.
It cheesed me off.
Why not just ask ...since the creation of a "rebranded" Scottish Premier League in 1974, or whenever, who has won the title the most?
Its still the championship of Scotland whatever you want to call it.
