Hi Clueless, there are two different answers to your question. As Mark says, on a straight count, Liverpool have provided most captains (not just post-war, either)
Any club with more than five captains by that count are:
Liverpool 11
Arsenal 9
Corinthians 7
Tottenham 7
Derby County 6
Manchester Utd 6
But if you look at the number of caps won by players who were playing for each club while captaining England, the numbers are a bit different
Manchester Utd have 107 caps from 6 players
Wolves 95 from 4 players - 90 were from Billy Wright
West Ham 90 - all from the great Bobby Moore
Liverpool 57 from 11
Arsenal 57 from 9
Tottenham 43 from 7
Newcastle 38 from 3
Real Madrid 35 from 2
Blackburn 27 from 2
Southampton 24 from 4
This may not be what you were after, but it was an interesting exercise
