On-field violence in Football (Soccer)

Does anyone know of any instances of on-field assault or grevious bodily harm that have gone to court or if there is any law that specifically relates to this?

Duncan Ferguson playing for Glasgow Rangers was jailed for assaulting Raith Rovers John McStay during a game in 1994.
There was also a Barrow player in an F.A.Cup game a few years ago.

There will be one going to court soon from a local women's match in which one player stamped on another's head from a dispute over a throw in! Player's jaw was broken, police were called and took assailant away.
