As Zola was running in bare feet, and was only about two thirds of Decker's size and weight, I think Decker made a bit of a fuss. Mardy American !

Stars are good JJ - remember that race decker was crying her eyes out as she though she would have won it. Could never understand Budd running in bare feet???what if another athlete trod on you with spikes on - ouch - or maybe she liked the pain??

Zola had always run in bare feet ...

She then became Mary Decker Slaney. I know cos I was going out with Richard Slaney's cousin at the time and should have been going to the wedding. I dumped him before that though. smile
