is it realy fare to prevent our best 100 metre athlete from competing in the olimpics?

ok.... we all know he cheated, but like anyone else,he payed the price,now...are we so naive to the point that we give criminals a second and third chances and look the other way when it comes to professional athletes?

I agree! He has served his time. Ben Johnson was a much higher profile sprinter and was disqualified after winning the gold but returned 4 years later to appear in another olympic final.
I don't think Duane Chambers has shown enough remorse to convice Britain that he has learnt his lesson and wouldn't reoffend. I've seen tv shows where he seemed proud of his actions and said that new drugs were being produced too fast for the drug test technowledgy to keep up with.
